Synopsis: The setting is a lecture hall where students are entering. In a desk within the hall sit HE and SHE. THE PROFESSOR is occasionally seen and heard delivering the lecture. HE (the boy) has an open notebook in front of him, but is writing nothing. SHE writes during the lecture, taking notes attentively with an ordinary blue pen. When she finishes writing, she places the pen on the desk, a gesture repeated 3 times. HE notices and, the fourth time, without saying anything, pushes the pen with his notebook, causing it to fall. SHE picks up the pen without saying anything. The scene is repeated three times. The third time, SHE picks the pen up from the floor and now places it in front of him, saying: "From now on, it's yours." HE takes it without telling her anything and begins writing in his notebook. SHE, in turn, gives three flicks to the pen HE is now writing with. HE (to HER) (after having previously brought the pen back): "Please keep it! I don't need it anymore! Forgive me! It's more complicated than I thought!" In the final frame, SHE remains (radiant and smiling without words).
