God's Gift

1 July 2024

At the house of an elderly childless couple, about seventy years old, with poor health, living in a small village, unknown people leave a six-month-old baby. An old man and an old woman are going to hand over the child to the authorities. But having heard that young children are being sold for organs, they decide to leave the child to themselves. Caring for a baby turns the lives of older people in a completely different direction. They have an interest in life.

DIRECTOR'S VISION

If you ask realized, happy, successful individuals why a person lives, they will answer: "For other people." Why? Like a lake filled with water from numerous streams, a person receives benefits for his existence outside. However, if the water in the lake stagnates, if it will not flow out with new streams, then over time the lake will turn into a musty puddle. In the same way, a person who only receives for himself and does not give back gets sick. He lives the life of a shallow puddle, instead of taking place in the volume of a full-flowing lake. Here are my main characters in the film, the elderly old man Mambetata and the old woman Burulapa lived together happily, but they did not have children. The old man is very ill, and the old woman is also getting ready to die. One fine day, at their home, unknown people leave a six-month-old baby.

The old man and the old woman want to give the child to the authorities. But having heard that young children are being sold for organs, Mambetata and Burulapa decide to keep the child. And a new life of heroes begins, filled with worries and excitements.

Material joys are not all that life can offer us. It is much more pleasant to feel the sense that you are needed for a defenseless little man like air and water. And this child is the greatest happiness for them, which makes them rejoice and laugh.
