Svetlana Tandit is a filmmaker, screenwriter, director, journalist, educator, editor, and film editor. She is a member of the Union of Cinematographers and the Film Directors Guild of the Russian Federation. She graduated from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature and studied television film directing at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK).

Professional Experience and Achievements

• Over 50 documentary films: Many of her works have been awarded at Russian and international festivals (e.g., Radonezh, The Hero of Our Time, Native Paths).
• Collaborations with major TV networks: She has worked extensively with major television channels and Orthodox-profile networks.
• International recognition: She created a historical documentary series (broadcast in Poland, Sweden, and Germany, and included in the Yeltsin Presidential Library) and wrote the script for the documentary The Others Who Drew Death. From Auschwitz to Neuengamme, which was broadcast by the BBC.

Her documentaries dedicated to spirituality and Orthodoxy are available on major streaming platforms. In 2021, the Alexander Solzhenitsyn Russia Abroad House organized a creative evening dedicated to her work.

In 2020 and 2021, she served as a trainer and speaker for the national project “KIT Territory”, where she taught film screenwriting and dramaturgy to teenagers and students.
