ALEXANDRA is not just a movie. It is a window into the incredible courage of an ordinary woman turned hero. Director Diana Angelson Angelson Busuioc tells the amazing story of Angela Popescu, a 112 dispatcher. She becomes a true heroine following an emergency call. On the other end of the call is a 15-year-old girl who has been kidnapped.
Angela realizes police units won't be able to get there in time. So she leaves her post and sets off on a race against the clock to rescue the girl. Her sacrifice, followed by her mysterious disappearance, becomes a symbol of courage and the need to act when the system fails.

The film directed by Diana Angelson Busuioc, who also plays the role of Angela Popescu, is dedicated to the memory of Alexandra Măceșanu and Luise Melencu, but also to all children and young people in Romania.

Francesca Hojda (Alexandra), Dorin Enache (Mitică Popescu), Emanuela Ciucan (Victoria Dăncilă), Petru Georoiu (Roman Popescu), Georgeta Marin-Vîlcu (Irina), Sofia Ivan (Tereza) and Maria Julieta Georoiu (Mihaela Oancea) will also star.
